ILQA Underwriter

Location: Dallas/Irving, Texas, United States; full-time on-site role

What you will do

• Perform daily in-line quality assurance reviews of high-risk conventional and government loans.
• Verify compliance with regulatory requirements and company credit and operational guidelines.
• Manage a daily underwriting review pipeline and independently research guidelines and overlays.
• Analyze data, identify gaps and red flags, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain data integrity and accurate documentation in the loan origination system.
• Escalate suspected fraud and unresolved issues while communicating findings to management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience or experience in a similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage lending, including correspondent or retail lending.
• Intermediate knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, industry standards, and practices.
• Knowledge of investor and insurer guidelines, including FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, VA, and USDA.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, ICE Mortgage Technology, and Encompass, with advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
