TL;DR

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end design of complex electronics modules and systems, from architecture and schematics through PCB layout, testing, production, and delivery.
  • Lead hardware engineers developing products with multiple electronics modules.
  • Define hardware architectures, requirements, trade studies, and key component selections.
  • Perform worst-case, signal integrity, and power integrity analyses and guide analysis methodology.
  • Develop bring-up and verification plans, conduct laboratory testing, and release assemblies to production.
  • Present design reviews to customers and executives and mentor hardware engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 9 years of industry or university research experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and testing.
  • Experience designing high-reliability electronics for space or defense applications, including part derating, worst-case analysis, and thermal constraints.
  • Expertise in PCB layout and manufacturing, including HDI stackup design, IPC standards, and industry best practices.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Altium and experience with signal or power integrity simulation tools such as Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro, or Mentor HyperLynx.
  • Extensive laboratory bring-up and verification experience, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading teams developing multi-module assemblies, including hardware architecture, requirements, and interconnects.
  • Experience designing for space radiation environments.
