Fab Mechanic - Polish - 2nd Shift (Must be able to train on 1st Shift)

Location: Onsite at 93 Lexington Drive, Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. Full-time 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM. Must be able to train on 1st shift.

Compensation: $1.00 shift differential.

What you will do

• Inspect manufactured parts for defects and material-handling damage.
• Clean, scrape, deburr, polish, grit blast, and grind parts and weld beads.
• Operate Dremel tools, hand-held die grinders, bench grinders, Flex-hone tools, and grit-blast cabinets.
• Mount and replace abrasive tooling, including rubberized abrasives and grinder wheels.
• Use compressed air to clean the interior and exterior of parts after polishing.
• Handle parts weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally and maintain reliable attendance.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training may qualify.
• Must pass a respirator medical evaluation and fit test before performing duties and annually thereafter.
• Must wear a respirator for an average of eight hours per workday.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required.
• Ability to work the specified 2nd shift and train on 1st shift.
