Senior Hardware Engineer II (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design of complex electronics modules and systems, from architecture and schematics through PCB layout, testing, and production release.
• Develop high-speed digital, power, and RF electronics for high-reliability space and airborne applications.
• Lead hardware engineers developing multi-module products and provide technical expertise across hardware programs.
• Create hardware architectures, requirements, bring-up plans, and design verification plans.
• Perform circuit, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis, then lead hardware bring-up and validation in the lab.
• Present design reviews to customers and executives, collaborate with manufacturing, test, software, and mechanical engineering, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of industry or university research experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and testing.
• Experience designing high-reliability electronics and small systems for space or defense applications, including part derating, worst-case analysis, and thermal constraints.
• Experience delivering complex board-level electronics and hardware systems through production and deployment.
• Expertise in PCB layout and manufacturing, including HDI stackup design, IPC standards, and industry best practices.
• Expert-level proficiency with Altium and signal integrity or power integrity simulation tools such as Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro, or Mentor HyperLynx, plus strong written and spoken communication skills.

• Experience leading teams developing multi-module assemblies, including architecture, requirements, and interconnects.
• Experience designing for space radiation environments.
