Medical Physicist (Noncertified)

Location: Ft Worth, Texas, United States; onsite at regional radiation oncology centers

Texas Oncology is an independent, physician-led oncology practice providing cancer treatment, advanced radiation therapy, and clinical research.

What you will do

• Provide clinical medical physics services for seven community-based radiation oncology clinics.
• Support external beam radiation therapy and HDR brachytherapy procedures.
• Work with board-certified physicists, dosimetrists, and physics residents across the regional group.
• Support treatment planning, second checks, ROIS, and quality assurance using shared clinical systems.
• Work with Varian linear accelerators, CT simulation, PET/CT, HDR afterloaders, and radiation oncology software.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Medical Physics and completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency program.
• Valid Texas Medical Board license or eligibility for a Texas medical physics license.
• ABR certification or board eligibility.
• Clinical experience, including working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR.
• Experience with Varian linear accelerators and Eclipse or BrachyVision treatment planning systems.
• Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience as a certified medical physicist.
• Experience with Element treatment planning, ARIA ROIS, HDR planning and treatment, and SGRT procedures.
