Senior Director, Employment Counsel

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Advise business leaders and cross-functional teams on labor, employment, safety, immigration, EEO, and regulatory matters.
• Manage litigation and administrative complaints, including case strategy, position statements, outside counsel, legal reserves, costs, ADR, and settlements.
• Set strategy for immigration-related matters and oversee compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, arbitration agreements, restrictive covenants, separation agreements, and independent contractor agreements.
• Lead workplace investigations, compliance projects, audits, reporting, and updates to policies and procedures.
• Manage paralegals and a legal specialist, support training programs, and advise on mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and new worksites.

Requirements

• 7+ years of legal experience combining law firm and in-house work.
• JD from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in at least one state.
• Expert knowledge of employment and labor laws, with experience in litigation and legal counseling.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Practical Law–Co-Counsel, task or matter-tracking software, and invoice billing software.
• Strong communication, organization, planning, judgment, time management, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills.
