AZ Truck Driver

Location: 2555 Sheffield Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $28.84 CAD per hour after 3 months; overtime paid after 44 hours.

Family-owned global metal recycling company operating more than 135 sites with business divisions spanning recycling, demolition, auto parts, manufacturing, construction waste, and industrial products.

What you will do

• Operate an AZ-class roll-off truck to transport metal materials between company sites and client locations.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage.
• Perform manual tarping when required.
• Complete routine pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation.

Requirements

• Valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and driver's abstract.
• At least 2 years of AZ driving experience.
• Required: experience driving an 18-speed manual transmission.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform loading and unloading activities.
• Strong communication skills in both French and English.
• Customer-service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Previous roll-off truck operating experience.
• Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials.
