Mental Health Clinical Nursing Instructor (Part-Time)

Location: Billings, Montana, USA; clinical instruction takes place in an inpatient healthcare center. The institution operates on a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, while clinical instructors work scheduled 12-hour clinical shifts.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach and supervise nursing students during mental health and psychiatric clinical experiences.
• Plan clinical activities and provide direct supervision while students deliver nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback.
• Develop clinical assignments, review written work, and provide remediation when needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical-site policies and communicate student or agency issues to the course coordinator.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, retention initiatives, and campus operations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• At least two years of registered nursing practice experience within the last five years.
• Professional nurse licensure in the state of practice.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative, and prudent judgment.
• Availability for scheduled clinical shifts, typically two to three consecutive 12-hour shifts over one to two weeks per eight-week session.
