Senior Equipment Engineer (Diffusion, Bonding & Dicing)

Location: Singapore – Woodlands – NorthTech; rotating 12-hour day and night shifts may be required.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve optical, mechanical, electrical, fluidics, PLC, HMI, and automation systems.
• Develop sustainable solutions for recurring equipment problems and improve equipment uptime, reliability, product quality, cycle time, and cost.
• Lead equipment improvement initiatives, new product introduction support, technical root cause analysis, and cross-functional incident investigations.
• Identify and qualify alternative equipment parts and implement changes through established change control processes.
• Develop equipment work instructions and on-the-job training programmes.
• Guide, train, and mentor Technicians and Engineers while coordinating activities to meet production KPIs and schedules.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with automatic control systems and troubleshooting PLC and HMI process-control automation systems, such as Beckhoff or Allen Bradley.
• Ability to draft engineering drawings, analyze equipment data, conduct investigations, and apply root cause analysis.
• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics; a bachelor’s degree is advantageous.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing or production experience with a diploma, or at least 4 years with a bachelor’s degree; GMP-controlled manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, in noisy and chemical environments with appropriate PPE, and safely lift up to 15 kg.

Nice to have

• Experience with server/client infrastructure, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, failure prediction, or reliability analysis.
• Experience with SPC, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, Streamlit, Angular, or NestJS.
• Exposure to agentic AI, intelligent automation, or AI-driven manufacturing optimization.
