State and Local Tax Intern – Winter 2027

Location: New York; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $36–$43 per hour

What you will do

• Work on a team covering a broad range of tax specialty areas, including corporate, individual, pass-through entity, and nonprofit taxation.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Apply tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Collaborate with colleagues while supporting client engagements.

Requirements

• Completion of at least 90 credit hours.
• Currently pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned client locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; a minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
