Apprentice Electrician

Location: Knoxville, TN (CSUSA-SHO HQ); onsite, full-time work

What you will do

• Install, connect, and test electrical systems for large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Place conduit inside partitions, walls, and other concealed areas.
• Pull insulated wires and cables through conduit to complete circuits.
• Use testing equipment to verify circuit connections and electrical stability.
• Work safely across indoor and outdoor construction environments.
• Attend weekly apprenticeship classes through the certified NCCER program.

Requirements

• No prior construction experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace and demonstrate punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to perform basic tape-measure calculations and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in extreme heat, cold, and bad weather, including indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday, lift and carry up to 60 pounds, and work in confined spaces while reaching, crawling, squatting, kneeling, and bending.

Nice to have

• Previous apprentice credits, which may transfer to the certified NCCER program.
• Military veteran status is encouraged but not required.
