Project Accountant - Marine (Finance/Project Accounting): Providing accurate project accounting, financial reporting, and project control for marine business projects with an accent on cost tracking, profitability analysis, monthly close, and revenue recognition under IFRS. Focus on reviewing project contracts, maintaining budgets and forecasts, analyzing cash flow and margins, and partnering with project managers and business leaders.

What you will do
- Provide accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and project control for assigned projects.
- Review project status with Business Partners and Project Managers, covering invoicing, work in progress, costs, profitability, and cash flow.
- Manage the monthly close cycle, including project reviews, cost accruals, margin analysis, income statement adjustments, and segment reporting.
- Set up and maintain projects in the accounting system, review contracts and service requests, and track budget, cost, and revenue data.
- Apply the percentage-of-completion method for revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS and code vendor accounts payable invoices.
- Respond to financial inquiries, maintain digital project accounting files, and support annual service line budgeting.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, cost accruals, and project review or analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and deadline-management skills; ability to work under pressure and travel as required.
