Concrete/Cement Laboratory Technician

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; full-time onsite laboratory role

Salary: $45,000–$74,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and perform concrete batching laboratory tests.
• Conduct durability, physical, chemical, and mortar testing on concrete and cementitious materials.
• Perform technical laboratory work on projects under the oversight of senior staff.
• Prepare samples for petrographic analysis, including thin-section preparation, cutting, and polishing.
• Maintain organized laboratory work and project timelines while efficiently managing multiple tasks.
• Learn and apply new testing methods and techniques for cementitious materials.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in the aggregates, concrete, or cement industry.
• Ability to conduct technical laboratory work and follow ACI and/or ASTM testing procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Detail-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Microsoft Office 365 experience and demonstrated ability to learn technical concepts.
