GMP Associate Chemist (Reference Standards)

Location: Foster City, California, USA; full-time onsite laboratory role

What you will do

• Support the qualification and requalification of reference standards through appearance testing, FTIR, NMR, LC/HPLC/UPLC, TGA, DSC, and Karl Fischer titration.
• Perform correction factor calculations, analyze data, troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation, and prepare data for presentations.
• Follow GMP regulations, SOPs, training requirements, and documentation practices while reviewing laboratory records, calculations, and test preparations.
• Coordinate sample shipments and testing with external contract laboratories, upload results to internal databases, and collaborate with vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Initiate investigations and write protocols, technical reports, and method-transfer documentation.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.

Requirements

• B.S. in Chemistry or a related scientific field with 2–5 years of analytical experience, or an M.S. degree with 1–3 years of experience.
• At least 1 year of continuous experience in a GMP- or GLP-regulated environment.
• Experience executing and analyzing small-molecule analytical chemistry methods using HPLC/UPLC, FTIR, NMR, DSC/TGA, and Karl Fischer titration.
• Understanding of experimentation and data analysis using Empower Software Version III.
• Strong technical writing, communication, organizational, computer, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
