Associate Director, Enterprise Risk Management

Location: Oakland, California, USA; hybrid work with 3 days in the office

Salary: Zone A: $157,600–$316,700; Zone B: $144,400–$290,300; Zone C: $131,300–$263,900 per year, plus eligibility for incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of the enterprise risk assessment process.
• Identify and evaluate strategic, operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks across the organization.
• Conduct risk assessments for projects, initiatives, and business processes, and develop mitigation strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor risk mitigation activities and report on the effectiveness of risk management strategies.
• Prepare risk profiles, heat maps, and assessment reports for senior management and the board of directors.
• Enhance the ERM program, deliver employee training, and serve as a subject matter expert on the risk management framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, risk management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in risk management, with a focus on enterprise risk management.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team, collaborate across functions, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management.

Nice to have

• Experience in a similar role within a CPG company.
• Familiarity with risk management software and tools.
• Professional certification such as CRMP, CRM, or a similar credential.
