Cyber Security Practitioner (Cybersecurity)

Location: On site in Ipswich, London or Manchester, United Kingdom. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

What you will do

• Build tools and platforms that improve cyber team effectiveness.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify valuable insights.
• Develop automation and software for cyber operations.
• Research emerging technologies, threats and analytical techniques.
• Support investigations into sophisticated cyber activity.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, researchers and cyber specialists to develop capabilities protecting critical infrastructure and government organisations.

Requirements

• Strong interest in cybersecurity, technology and solving complex problems.
• Analytical, logical and structured approach to challenges.
• Willingness to learn across cybersecurity, software and data disciplines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Already hold the relevant UK Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance and be able to maintain it.
• Be available to work on site in Ipswich, London or Manchester.

Nice to have

• Programming, scripting or software development experience.
• Data analysis, data visualisation or experience with large datasets.
• Knowledge of security operations, threat detection, incident response, risk management or vulnerability management.
• Experience with automation, Linux, cloud platforms, databases, APIs or modern development practices.
• Practical security experience from personal projects, home labs, hackathons or open-source contributions.
