CDL Class A HazMat Driver/Technician (Hazardous Waste)

Location: Canton, OH, USA. Full-time, Monday through Friday, with variable scheduling that may include 3–4 overnight shifts per week based on customer routes and delivery requirements.

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually. The stated pay range is $19.70–$27.05 per hour, depending on locality. A sign-on bonus is also mentioned as $3,500.

What you will do

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers, tankers, roll-offs, van trailers, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste and perform LTL pickups at generator and customer sites.
• Apply DOT requirements for hazardous waste packaging, placarding, labeling, loading securement, and HAZMAT segregation.
• Maintain logbooks, permit books, trip reports, waste manifests, and other driver documentation.
• Perform DOT/MOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and follow applicable weight-limit laws.
• Support lab pack and field service projects as a technician when required.

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain the endorsements within 90 days of hire.
• Motor vehicle record must meet company policy standards.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical loading and unloading tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, prioritize work, and manage multiple responsibilities.
