Market Manager, Food Retail & Cold Storage (Refrigeration)

Location: Hybrid position in Aachen-Oberforstbach, Germany; responsibility covers the Food Retail and Cold Storage segments across Europe.

What you will do

• Develop and execute market strategies for Food Retail and Cold Storage segments across Europe.
• Conduct market sizing, segmentation, forecasting, trend analysis, and competitive intelligence.
• Analyze supermarkets, grocery chains, cold rooms, distribution warehouses, frozen food facilities, dairy storage, and e-commerce logistics applications.
• Translate customer and Voice of Customer insights into product roadmap and investment recommendations.
• Identify emerging technologies and adjacent market opportunities for refrigeration and monitoring solutions.
• Partner with Product Management, Portfolio Marketing, Engineering, Commercial teams, and senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in Market Management, Strategy, Product Marketing, Business Analysis, Consulting, or a similar market-focused role.
• Strong experience in market sizing, forecasting, competitive analysis, strategic planning, and working with large datasets.
• Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams, driving strategic initiatives, and working in international or pan-European businesses.
• Fluent English, ability to travel up to 30%, and legal authorization to work in Germany are required; visa sponsorship and work authorization support are not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, cold chain, food retail, industrial technology, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or related B2B industries.
• Knowledge of customer buying behavior, market research tools, Voice of Customer methodologies, commercial strategy, and long-range planning.
• Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
