Software Engineer, Platform & API (C#/Cloud Migration)

Location: Plano, TX, United States; hybrid work with three days per week in the office. Domestic travel of up to 5–10% is required. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $84,400–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement ASP.NET Core API endpoints and service components for desktop and web clients.
• Own medium-sized features from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Support the migration from Google Cloud to Azure through service adapters, data migration scripts, and validation tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and containerized deployments.
• Improve observability with structured logging, health checks, and Application Insights or equivalent tools.
• Document systems, create runbooks, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core API experience.
• Experience with client-server architectures and integrating desktop clients with web services.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud or Azure and willingness to lead Azure migration tasks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, unit and integration testing, Git workflows, Docker, Kubernetes or AKS, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.

Nice to have

• Direct experience migrating legacy or desktop applications toward web-based or cloud-hosted services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
• Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
