Oncology Registered Nurse

Location: In person in Chesapeake, Virginia; must be willing to travel between offices as needed.

Salary: $31.85–$64.75 per hour.

Virginia Oncology Associates provides cancer care and blood-disorder services across Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina.

What you will do

• Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under physician supervision.
• Assess and monitor patients during therapy, including laboratory results, imaging findings, and drug reactions.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central venous access devices and delivery systems.
• Conduct phone triage, document all elements of care, and maintain efficient patient flow.
• Communicate patient status and interventions to physicians or advanced practice providers.
• Assess patient and family needs and provide support to Medical Assistants as a clinical resource.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
• Current RN state license required.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• Oncology experience strongly preferred.
• BSN and OCN certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel between offices as needed.
