Commercial Debt Advisor (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; onsite

Compensation: 100% commission-based.

What you will do

• Originate, structure, and secure commercial real estate financing, including first and second mortgages, construction loans, bridge financing, and subordinate debt.
• Build relationships with real estate developers, builders, owners, clients, prospects, and external lending partners.
• Conduct due diligence, review financial statements and cash flow, and prepare underwriting recommendations and financing proposals.
• Negotiate with external lenders and support closings and credit decision-making.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, asset classes, and pipeline activity while providing subject-matter expertise to the hirify.global team.
• Collaborate with hirify.global real estate agents on joint client calls and relationship-building activities.

Requirements

• At least five years of related experience in real estate underwriting or loan origination is preferred.
• Proven track record of winning new business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel, including pivot tables, plus PowerPoint and Word proficiency.
• Knowledge of discounted cash flow modeling, real estate fundamentals, and capital structures.
• Must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
