Mechanical Designer (HVAC)

Location: Redmond, Oregon, United States; onsite work in office, engineering design, and manufacturing environments

Salary: $25.29–$37.94 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and modify 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Assist with conceptual and preliminary HVAC equipment designs and implement engineering-directed revisions.
• Create and maintain accurate bills of materials and design documentation for manufacturing and production.
• Collaborate with engineers, management, production staff, and cross-functional teams on design solutions and product updates.
• Support prototype development, testing, design validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel as needed to support design validation or operational requirements.

Requirements

• Associate or technical degree in drafting, design, mechanical technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in design, drafting, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design and drafting principles, with proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and structural steel materials and their properties.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work safely in manufacturing environments, sit or stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
