Senior Solution Architect (Telecom-Global)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid schedule with in-person work at an assigned hirify.global office at least two days per week

Salary: $168,750–$281,250 annually

What you will do

• Advise telecommunications carriers and enterprise customers on technical solutions, supporting strategic relationships including T-Mobile.
• Design carrier-grade architectures across messaging, voice, identity, and fraud prevention.
• Translate customer requirements and Voice of Customer insights into scalable solution designs, product enhancements, and roadmap recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success from concept through deployment.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, solution workshops, and customer-facing presentations for technical and executive audiences.
• Prepare RFI/RFP responses, solution proposals, business cases, white papers, and technical documentation while removing delivery barriers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, consulting, or technical solutioning within telecommunications.
• Deep knowledge of messaging ecosystems, voice communications, signaling frameworks, network infrastructure, telecommunications protocols, and carrier network architecture.
• Experience defining and implementing complex solutions with telecommunications carriers, large enterprises, or technology organizations.
• Experience designing API-driven solutions with REST APIs and JSON, and working with AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, containerized applications, cloud-native architectures, and public, private, and on-premises environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Bandwidth, or similar telecommunications providers.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployment technologies.
• Familiarity with GSMA, ATIS, 3GPP, IETF, STIR/SHAKEN, and SIP.
• Experience creating technical white papers, solution design documentation, customer presentations, and reusable architecture artifacts.
