Business Operations Intern (AI)

Location: On-site at the San Diego, California branch; must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Hourly rate: $19/hour

Global logistics company providing supply chain management, customized international trade solutions, and integrated information systems.

What you will do

• Analyze operational workflows, identify gaps, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Clean, organize, and analyze operational data for reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics.
• Participate in AI-enabled tools and automation initiatives by identifying repetitive or manual tasks suitable for automation.
• Analyze trends and performance data to support leadership decision-making.
• Document standard operating procedures and process changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional branch teams and provide analytical, documentation, and administrative support.

Requirements

• Available for a 3–4 month internship and able to work on-site in San Diego, CA.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to work 20 hours per week and overtime as needed.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, Copilot, or similar data visualization and analytics tools.
• Strong interest in data analytics, AI, automation, and process improvement.
