Sr. Procurement Cost Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Aguascalientes, Mexico; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Develop detailed bottom-up should-cost models covering raw materials, labor, machine cycle times, overhead, tooling, and production investments.
• Create cost models for new products and processes and prepare project budgets, forecasts, cost estimates, bid packages, and financial reports.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and CAD data to assess manufacturing feasibility and design-to-cost opportunities.
• Analyze supplier quotations, cost gaps, change orders, market trends, raw-material prices, and regional labor rates.
• Support supplier negotiations, make-vs-buy decisions, alternative process comparisons, and sourcing strategy.
• Identify cost risks, manage contingencies, maintain cost databases and project documentation, and communicate findings to project teams and leadership.

Requirements

• Relevant work experience or knowledge of procurement cost engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with teams, suppliers, and external customers.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, organization, planning, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, ethical, and accountability skills.
