Principal PCB Design Engineer

Location: Gyeonggi-Do, Korea; full-time onsite position

What you will do

• Develop PCB logical designs, including netlists, schematics interpretation, and electrical and routing constraints.
• Complete PCB physical layouts covering component placement, routing, trace-length matching, verification, and optimization.
• Apply electrical engineering principles to high-speed digital, RF, analog, mixed-signal, and power designs.
• Optimize PCB designs for manufacturability and assembly by collaborating with fabrication and assembly suppliers.
• Validate internal PCB design tools and improve design methodologies, processes, documentation, and training materials.
• Prepare manufacturing and assembly data packages, support product releases, and resolve supplier-raised DFM and DFA issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a diploma with at least 5 years of PCB design experience. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer and Valor/CAM tools.
• Experience designing high-speed digital circuits, DDR memory interfaces, flash memory systems, analog and mixed-signal systems, and manufacturable PCBs.
• Strong knowledge of schematic interpretation, netlist generation, constraint development, signal integrity, power integrity, and PCB design verification.
• Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly suppliers to improve manufacturability, yield, and product quality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with HDI technologies, including blind vias, buried vias, and microvias.
• Experience in semiconductor test environments and Automatic Test Equipment applications.
• Knowledge of auto-router tools.
• Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro SKILL programming for tool customization and PCB design automation.
