Microbiologist

Location: Singapore; full-time, on-site laboratory role

Salary: SGD 2,800–3,200 per month

What you will do

• Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing according to SOPs, client requirements, holding times, and turnaround targets.
• Prepare culture media, reagents, and laboratory supplies in line with quality standards.
• Operate, maintain, and monitor laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform internal QC, proficiency testing, interlaboratory analyses, and assigned method validation or verification activities.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain aseptic techniques, biosafety procedures, laboratory cleanliness, inventory, and stock levels.

Requirements

• Degree in Biological Science, Microbiology, or an equivalent field.
• At least one year of relevant laboratory experience, excluding internships.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Good analytical skills and understanding of scientific writing.
• Strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to respond to changing schedules and requirements.
• Ability to follow laboratory quality systems, including GLP, ISO 17025, and SINGLAS standards.
