Analytical Chemist (Life Sciences)

Location: Singapore; onsite laboratory work

Salary: SGD 3,000–3,500 per month

What you will do

• Organize and conduct routine analyses independently according to approved methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Document analytical work, maintain laboratory records, and review data through peer and quality-control checks.
• Use laboratory equipment and software, perform basic troubleshooting, and learn routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Identify abnormal results, deviations, and critical assay steps; support corrective actions and implement solutions.
• Contribute to project meetings, process-improvement initiatives, client interactions, and method optimization or validation.
• Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment and support the training of less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; laboratory experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of departmental procedures, policies, analytical methods, and laboratory documentation.
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous or radiolabeled materials, handle hazardous waste, and use personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work within a laboratory hood and stand or sit for extended periods at a laboratory bench.
• Mandatory immunizations and screening may be required.
• Availability for overtime and weekend work as required.
