Service Truck Driver

Location: Lost Hills, California, USA; onsite

Salary: $23.50–$25.50 per hour

What you will do

• Fuel and inspect farming equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes and parts replacement.
• Service and inspect heavy-duty vehicles according to BIT, DOT, and CHP regulations.
• Assist mechanics with air-brake, steering, suspension, wheel-bearing, cooling, HVAC, hydraulic, and air-filter system inspections.
• Drive heavy-duty trucks and repair or replace fuel hoses and fittings.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and accurate driving, fueling, and regulatory documentation.

Requirements

• Valid California Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or B, with tank endorsement.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to identify, package, label, load, unload, and secure hazardous materials according to regulations.
• Knowledge of hazardous-material handling, PPE, emergency response, chemical compatibility, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Pass a driving and fueling assessment conducted by shop management.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Hazardous materials endorsement.
