Security Operations Lead (GSOC)

What you will do

• Lead daily GSOC operations, including security event triage, prioritization, documentation, escalation, and shift execution.
• Coordinate real-time incident response with security teams, managed security service providers, IT operations, and technology partners.
• Guide Security Operations Analysts through complex investigations, workload planning, training, mentoring, and operational exercises.
• Monitor and correlate cybersecurity and physical security events while maintaining situational awareness during active incidents.
• Maintain and improve procedures, playbooks, escalation guides, metrics, dashboards, and operational readiness materials.
• Track operational performance and drive improvements in alert quality, escalation effectiveness, and response outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• At least seven years of enterprise security operations experience, primarily in a SOC, GSOC, or equivalent environment.
• Experience leading or supporting security operations teams, incident response, escalation decisions, and operational coordination.
• Deep understanding of security monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and incident response, with hands-on experience using SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence, monitoring, and case management platforms.
• GIAC certification such as GSOC, GCIH, GCED, or GCIA, plus Security+, CySA+, CASP+, or an equivalent security certification.
• Experience with managed SOC/MSSP operating models and converged cyber and physical security environments; regulated-industry experience is required.

Nice to have

• CISSP, SSCP, ITIL Foundation, PSP, or CPP certification.
