2027 Summer Analyst Intern (Valuations & Opinions)

Location: In-person or hybrid in the Dallas, New York, or Atlanta offices. Office attendance is required Monday through Thursday; Friday may be worked remotely or from the office.

Salary: $95,000 annualized. This salary range is applicable only to jobs performed in New York, California, and Illinois.

What you will do

• Support portfolio valuation, asset-backed finance, or transaction opinion and board advisory teams.
• Build valuation models and financial analyses, including discounted cash flow, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses.
• Research economic conditions, industry trends, acquisitions, divestitures, and investment attributes of public and private securities.
• Identify comparable public companies and M&A transactions using S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and industry classification methods.
• Participate in due diligence meetings, client communications, auditor responses, and preparation of fee proposals and valuation reports.
• Maintain valuation databases, coordinate recurring projects across geographies, and support senior members of the group.

Requirements

• Strong analytical foundation and understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
• Ability to evaluate key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations in financial statement analysis.
• Strong writing, verbal communication, and computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with significant relevant coursework completed.
• Assertive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5; must be eligible to begin full-time work in Summer 2028. Employment visa sponsorship is not available.
