Internship Financial Institutions Coverage (Finance)

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands; hybrid working. The internship requires enrollment at a Dutch university, or at an EU university for EU passport holders.

Internship allowance: 700 EUR based on a 36-hour work week.

ING is an international bank providing financial products and tailored solutions to institutional clients through its global network.

What you will do

• Prepare client pitch books, financial analyses, and financial-sector briefings.
• Coordinate deal execution with product teams, risk, legal, and compliance.
• Analyze markets and clients to identify opportunities and trends in the financial institutions sector.
• Support relationship managers with client management and business development.
• Contribute to product mapping and client portfolio analysis projects.
• Monitor KYC activities and keep customer information systems up to date.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong academic results, extracurricular involvement, analytical and communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Self-starter mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong work ethic.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English required.
• Enrollment at a Dutch university, or at an EU university for EU passport holders, is mandatory during the internship.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in banking, corporate finance, advisory, or consulting.
• Experience with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or other data tools.
• Dutch or another European language.
