Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Location: Charter Casting, Woodstock, Illinois, United States. Full-time, onsite, third shift Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Salary: $35.25–$44.00 per hour, plus a $2.25 per hour shift premium. Entry hourly rate: $36.50. Hiring bonus: $5,000 after 90 days.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and plant equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
• Lay out and install complex wiring circuits and control panels.
• Support equipment setup to maximize operational uptime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Accredited maintenance apprenticeship, or technical training combined with relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of industrial electrician experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, PLCs, drives, motors, and power distribution.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics, troubleshoot effectively, and operate equipment safely.

Nice to have

• Advanced PLC programming with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or GE systems.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated systems.
• Foundry or heavy industrial environment experience.
