Mechanical Quantity Surveyor (Piping)

What you will do

• Prepare detailed BOQs for piping fabrication, erection, painting, insulation, coatings, galvanizing, bolt torquing, and other specialized services.
• Develop MTOs by reviewing scopes of work, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and other engineering documentation.
• Track executed and remaining quantities, spool progress, project metrics, and material movement through structured reports and reconciliation logs.
• Work with construction teams, subcontractors, and quality control personnel to identify and resolve progress discrepancies.
• Review subcontractor invoices and validate claimed quantities against completed work, approved BOQs, contract terms, and project scope.
• Oversee piping material requests, orders, deliveries, issuance, stock availability, and shortages or surpluses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Piping Quantity Surveyor in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials used in oil and gas projects.
• Ability to interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, painting specifications, insulation specifications, and related technical documentation.
• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
