Supervising Actuary - Foreign Casualty

Location: New York, United States; primarily in the office

Base salary: $134,000–$167,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus under the applicable incentive plan.

What you will do

• Support Foreign Casualty pricing and underwriting through profitability studies and technical analysis.
• Develop and maintain pricing raters, review large-account pricing, and provide planning support.
• Partner with underwriting and claims departments to support profitable performance and growth.
• Collaborate with actuaries to implement analytical techniques and best practices.
• Assess loss trends and claims emergence.
• Manage a team of 2–4 actuaries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• ACAS or FCAS designation.
• 7+ years of actuarial pricing experience.
• 2+ years of actuarial management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, business, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages is preferred.
