AVP, Corporate Development

Location: Addison, TX or Montpelier, VT, United States. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Salary: $196,875–$288,750 USD annually, plus potential annual incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain a pipeline of strategic partnerships and reinsurance opportunities.
• Manage portions of the reinsurance and M&A lifecycle, from sourcing and due diligence through valuation, negotiation, and integration.
• Develop financial models and perform market analyses to validate business cases.
• Coordinate finance, legal, operations, and other departments throughout transactions.
• Support relationships with external partners, investment bankers, advisors, and investors.
• Prepare business cases, investment memoranda, board-level reports, and strategic industry analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant insurance-industry experience, including 5+ years in corporate development, reinsurance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a related transactional role.
• Significant knowledge of life insurance, annuities, retirement products, or related insurance lines.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence; working knowledge of U.S. statutory, U.S. GAAP, U.S. tax, Bermuda/E.B.S., and other solvency financial statements.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, project-management, and prioritization skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to senior executives.
• Applicants must work in the United States at one of the stated role locations; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

• FSA or FIA designation.
