Plant Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: Quebec, Canada; onsite, full-time

Medical technology manufacturing organization operating in a regulated environment.

What you will do

• Manage the plant finance function and provide financial analysis, reporting, performance measurement, and insights to site and corporate management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, budgets, forecasts, KPIs, cost analyses, and productivity reports.
• Control inventory, standard costing, cost-center expenses, cash settlements, banking activities, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee taxes, payroll, fixed assets, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing processes, and outsourced accounting activities where applicable.
• Maintain internal control policies in line with corporate guidelines and local laws, including SOX requirements.
• Support managers with the startup of products and production lines and supervise, train, and develop finance staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Bilingual French and English required.
• At least five years of progressively responsible accounting and controlling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal control systems, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Analytical, written, verbal communication, listening, initiative, and independent work skills.
• Ability to inspire, supervise, and develop staff and work in a regulated environment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience.
• Oracle experience.
