Purification Lead Operator

Location: Changzhi, Shanxi, China; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Lead the purification operating team to run the plant safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual requirements and on-stream guarantees.
• Drive compliance with EH&S, process safety, MOC, and OPHR requirements, with the goal of zero injuries.
• Maintain effective operating processes, improve plant performance, and share best operating practices.
• Conduct routine site patrols, identify potential hazards, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream units to monitor changing process conditions and stabilize operating indicators.
• Manage training for new purification shift operators and perform SWP-related site operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong managerial, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated success in safety, environmental protection, quality control, and employee involvement.
• At least 5 years of experience operating and maintaining a raw syngas purification plant or an operation of equivalent complexity.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Deputy Lead Operator in a gas purification or similarly complex plant, or at least 2 years as a Lead Operator.
• Ability to interface effectively with upstream and downstream plant shift Lead Operators; qualification to issue SWPs and meet site operating requirements.
