Customer Engineer-CMP/MDP/VSE (Semiconductor)

Location: Chengdu, China. On-site work is required, including cleanroom, safety, environmental, and physical requirements. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor equipment.
• Apply diagnostic techniques and digital analytics to assess and resolve technical issues with support from senior field service engineers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with customers and senior engineers to understand process flows, roadmaps, requirements, and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate directly with customers to support smooth equipment operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, plus basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.
