Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician (Entry Level)

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota or White Bear Lake, Minnesota offices; onsite field work on construction projects

Salary: $39,600–$59,400 per year

What you will do

• Perform field density tests of soils.
• Conduct concrete testing, including slump, air content, and strength tests.
• Sample and test soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Prepare daily field reports and assist with more complex testing tasks.
• Work with project managers and senior technicians to ensure project specifications are followed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Ability to lift 50–75+ pounds.
• Strong safety focus, attention to detail, and ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Materials testing or construction work experience.
