Advanced Diagnostic Automotive Technician (Automotive)

Location: Onsite at 16618 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, North Carolina, United States. Weekends off.

Compensation: Up to $45/hour flat or salary options for the most skilled technicians.

What you will do

• Operate lab scopes, multimeters, factory scan tools, and aftermarket diagnostic equipment to identify root causes.
• Perform control module reprogramming, software updates, and ADAS calibrations.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections and communicate safety concerns and maintenance needs to service advisors.
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, including complex electrical systems.
• Act as the shop’s technical resource by assisting and mentoring mid-level and apprentice technicians.
• Collaborate with technicians to resolve guest concerns, meet deadlines, and maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models, including domestic and import vehicles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and trace complex electrical wiring diagrams and factory service information.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, strong communication, and a commitment to guest service.
• Ability to work with tools above the head, in tight spaces, and while standing or walking for most of the workday; occasional lifting over 100 pounds is required.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles and efficiently use computers and hand tools.

Nice to have

• ASE L1 or equivalent certification.
• Experience with European vehicles or hybrid and EV systems.
