TL;DR
Principal Analog Design Engineer (CMOS/ASIC): Architecting, designing, and verifying high-precision CMOS analog blocks for custom ASICs, including DDR I/O, Tx/Rx, PLL, and low-power circuits, with an accent on DDR5/DDR6 architecture, signal integrity, reliability, and layout matching. Focus on analyzing silicon ATE and bench data, validating designs against performance constraints, and providing technical guidance across analog, digital, verification, and test teams.

What you will do

  • Architect, design, and verify CMOS analog blocks for custom ASICs, including Tx, Rx, PLL, and high-precision circuits.
  • Develop and optimize high-speed DDR I/O interfaces with strong signal integrity, noise immunity, and standards compliance.
  • Analyze silicon ATE and bench data against product specifications using Excel, MATLAB, and scripts to extract actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with digital design engineers, systems engineers, verification teams, validation teams, and test teams.
  • Lead design verification through simulations and testing, resolve performance and reliability issues, and document specifications, schematics, and design reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while driving best practices, low-power design, EM/IR and aging compliance, and high-quality analog layouts.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in electronics, microelectronics engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10–15 years of analog circuit design experience.
  • Expertise in high-speed DDR I/O design and optimization, particularly DDR5/DDR6 I/O architecture and client or data-center server circuits and systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of analog Rx/Tx design, signal integrity, noise immunity, and general analog design methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Maestro, Spectre, HSPICE, and analog simulation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; onsite work in Duluth, Georgia is required.
