Technical Manager (Food Safety)

What you will do

• Control operational processes and finished-goods production through HACCP.
• Maintain technical governance and ensure compliance with internal, external, legal, and customer requirements.
• Lead investigations into process non-conformances, customer specifications, and complaints, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and develop a strong quality culture.
• Lead, engage, and develop the technical function team.
• Maintain third-party certification and support the introduction of new raw materials, packaging, and products.

Requirements

• HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 qualifications.
• Degree in food science or a relevant discipline.
• Essential food industry experience with a comprehensive understanding of High Care operations.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK food law, legislation, and regulations.
• Strong data management, communication, organisational, and influencing skills; flexibility to work as required in a 24/7 business.
