Quality Assurance Manager (Java/Playwright)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; onsite full-time

Salary: USD 90,000–180,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead QA strategy and execution across multiple projects, covering functional, performance, automation, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Manage QA teams, allocate resources, and collaborate with project managers, developers, business and product SMEs, and stakeholders.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans, scenarios, and cases for complex software systems.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using UFT, Playwright, TypeScript, Java, and Selenium.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and manage defects, test results, and quality checkpoints.
• Mentor junior and mid-level QA analysts, support recruiting, and drive QA process improvements.

Requirements

• Authorization to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship is required.
• 5+ years of experience across functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Required experience with UFT and open-source automation tools such as Playwright and Selenium, including 5+ years testing Java applications.
• Experience with Java, TypeScript, HTML, XML, React or Next.js, and MS SQL databases.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps Boards, Repos, Pipelines, and Test Plans.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum, test planning, root cause analysis, requirements reviews, and managing test impacts when requirements change.
