Quality Engineer (Test Automation)

Location: In office at 841 Apollo Street, El Segundo, California, US 90245

Salary: $77,000–$143,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web and API applications using Playwright or equivalent tools.
• Write Gherkin specifications and implement automated BDD scenarios with industry-standard frameworks.
• Develop and execute REST API tests with Postman and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute load and performance testing with LoadRunner or equivalent tools, identify bottlenecks, and support optimization.
• Validate edge cases, boundary conditions, and complex banking scenarios while analyzing quality metrics and KPIs.
• Provide production support, investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders in Kanban workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience with test automation and at least 2 years of experience working with and testing relational databases.
• Expertise in Playwright or equivalent tools such as Selenium or Cypress, plus strong proficiency in TypeScript or an equivalent programming language.
• Experience with Gherkin, BDD frameworks, REST API testing, Postman, and performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter.
• Experience in banking or financial services, including knowledge of compliance, security, and transaction processes.
• Proficiency with Git, Agile Kanban or Scrum practices, continuous integration and delivery, and AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
