Data Test Engineer

Location: Tempe, Arizona; hybrid options in the Phoenix and San Francisco metro markets; remote work available in select U.S. cities and states.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Execute quality assurance testing for lending data microservices and daily data jobs.
• Validate application-facing functional data and business intelligence reporting.
• Perform API, end-to-end, and service testing using tools such as RestAssured and Unirest.
• Triage defects, coordinate with technical teams, and support multiple products and projects.
• Establish QA best practices, coding guidelines, automation tools, and productive team processes.
• Support team development through training, delegation, accountability, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software quality assurance experience with web applications, REST APIs, and/or Salesforce.
• At least 2 years of programming experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with data profiling.
• Understanding of data architectures such as Medallion and tools including Airflow and DAGs.
• Experience with API testing frameworks such as RestAssured or Unirest.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with JavaScript-based UI automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO.
• Familiarity with TestRail, JIRA, and Datadog.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native services.
• Experience with JavaScript or iOS/Android automation frameworks.
