2027 M&A Summer Associate Intern

Location: Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, United States. Hybrid structure with in-office work Monday through Thursday and the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.

Salary: $175,000 annually, plus eligibility for bonus pay. The stated range applies to roles performed in Illinois, New York City, and California.

What you will do

• Perform financial analysis and company valuations.
• Conduct industry research and identify potential buyers or acquisition targets.
• Prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations.
• Interact with senior bankers, clients, international buyers, and acquisition targets throughout transactions.
• Host potential buyer visits at client facilities and support senior bankers during negotiations.
• Assist with due diligence, closing processes, new business meetings, and internal firm initiatives.

Requirements

• Be in progress toward an MBA at a top-tier program with 2028 graduation.
• Have an outstanding academic record.
• Demonstrate fluency in accounting and finance, strong business acumen, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be assertive, self-motivated, and prepared to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Prior M&A, capital raising, or investment banking experience is preferred but not required.
• Must not currently or in the future require employment visa sponsorship.
