What you will do

• Lead major data platform initiatives spanning multiple engineering, product, software, and bioinformatics teams.
• Define scope, schedules, staffing, quality plans, budgets, dependencies, procurement, and risk-management activities.
• Coordinate architects, product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and senior leaders on technical tradeoffs, priorities, sequencing, and delivery commitments.
• Lead cross-functional core teams, governance meetings, senior management reviews, and program communications.
• Deliver projects in agile and AI-driven software development environments while ensuring alignment between user needs and development outputs.
• Optimize software development and program management processes, methodologies, tools, and metrics.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience leading and delivering complex software application projects.
• At least 5 years of recent experience working in a regulated environment.
• Strong software development process knowledge and project planning, estimation, scheduling, execution, and risk-management skills.
• Ability to communicate software concepts to non-technical professionals, influence stakeholders at all levels, and present to senior leaders.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale software in matrix organizations and improving program management or software development processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with genomics, multiomics, population-scale genomics, biobanks, bioinformatics, computational biology, or large scientific data platforms.
• Experience delivering programs on AWS, GCP, or Azure and/or working with life sciences software.
• Experience in AI-native software development environments and with data pipelines or workflow orchestration systems.
• Python, SQL, or R experience sufficient to prototype, validate, and assess data quality.
• Partner-facing or customer-facing delivery experience and familiarity with life sciences quality management systems.
