Business Finance Professional - Credit Controller (Private Equity)

Location: New York, New York

Salary: $72,000–$115,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Support the month-end close, prepare NAV packages, maintain fund-level waterfalls, calculate performance figures, and coordinate investor reporting.
• Review financial statements, support annual audits, and provide information for tax, corporate, and regulatory reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Prepare financial reporting materials for portfolio managers, limited partners, advisory boards, and prospective investors.
• Analyze expense allocations and budgets across multiple fund entities and calculate management and incentive fees.
• Oversee external fund administrators by reviewing NAV packages, investor capital activity, and partner account statements.
• Complete recurring fund reporting, support internal groups and special projects, and improve controller processes, controls, and workflows through technology.

Requirements

• College degree with a competitive GPA and demonstrated mathematical or analytical ability.
• Experience in public or private accounting; financial services, hedge fund, or private equity experience is beneficial.
• Experience evaluating process controls, procedures, and workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• CPA certification.
• Experience with hedge fund or private equity-style structures.
