Fabrication Manager (Oil & Gas)

Location: ASAB & Sahil, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite full-time

What you will do

• Lead fabrication shop activities for structural steel, piping spools, skids, and equipment supports.
• Develop fabrication schedules, monitor productivity, and take corrective action to meet project targets.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, QA/QC, planning, construction, subcontractors, and shop supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, WPS, HSE requirements, and ADNOC standards.
• Oversee material control, traceability, storage, inspection, testing, NDT, and dimensional checks before dispatch.
• Control fabrication costs, allocate resources, participate in client and third-party inspections, and prepare progress reports.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience as a highly experienced fabrication professional, including 12–15 years in Oil & Gas or EPC fabrication projects.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory fabrication role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred; a Mechanical Engineering diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, and ADNOC standards, structural steel and piping fabrication, welding processes, NDT methods, and quality control.
• Experience managing large fabrication yards and multiple concurrent work fronts, with strong material management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant HSE training and ADNOC project experience are preferred.

Nice to have

• CSWIP or AWS welding inspection certification.
